Shawn Lashansky
Shawn is an expert management consultant, who specialises in rapid business performance improvement. He has extensive experience in consulting, capital raising and turnaround management, having successfully concluded numerous assignments both in South Africa and Australia.
He is chartered accountant in two countries, Australia and South Africa. In addition to this, he holds a UK qualification, Chartered Management Accountant. He provides an unparalleled breadth of business consulting.
He is also a member of the Turnaround Management Association in South Africa and Australia.
Furthermore, he has had extensive experience in all aspects of retailing, including start-up retailing, having served as a chief financial officer of a major listed company with operations in South Africa and Australia, and running the same listed company in a post-private equity takeover situation.
Shawn started his career at South African Breweries (now part of AB Inbev). He worked in Eastern Europe, as a merger integration manager and a special projects manager, focusing on IT, optimization and procurement projects, amongst others.
He has a honours degree in Accounting and Finance, and completed his MBA at Wits Business School and Duke University (Fuqua School of Business). His thesis was on Brand Valuation (Techniques and shortcomings).
